Objective

To effectively create and walk through new doors of ministry between USA, El Salvador, and Nicaragua using Vision 2 Hear and Together Works Nicaragua. With the use of Sign Language, creative expression, extreme sports and teaching English we can form new opportunities for students and adults to have significant impact each country and make more disciples of Christ.

Goals

Form mission ministry teams in USA, El Salvador, and Nicaragua that can travel with each of these places.

Create ministry curriculum and mission training for each team.

Prepare music, dramas, and art outreaches to share the gospel.

Teach English through Sign Language

Establish food service outreach and education for The Dump once- a- week.

Solution

With El Salvador being a “next door neighbor” of Nicaragua and both being near neighbors of the USA, we hope to create ministry and mission experiences for each culture to expand their influence and reach. With each team working diligently within their respective countries, taking local trips and traveling abroad every two years, the next door project will open many wonderful opportunities for each country, ministry, and student involved.

Knocking on Heaven’s Door

Over the course of the next few weeks, I am asking that each country and Vision 2 Hear leader be in prayer for the next door project. The goal is for us to move with God and ascertain what He is already doing in each of our countries as well as our ministries. As we pray before my next trip in late October, keep the following things in mind:

Finances for trips and ministry

Teams and people God is calling to rise up as leaders

Network and connections we need to provide the services and ministry available

Resources and materials

Wisdom and knowledge

Protection and God’s blessing

God’s Spirit to move mightily as we walk through His open doors

Open Door #2

Having been to Nicaragua several times now and formed a solid ministry relationship in El Salvador, we are excited about open door #2!

We have plans for two members of Vision 2 Hear to return to Nicaragua along with a couple more from New Vision Church. We will meet Jorge Campos, President of Vision 2 Hear El Salvador in Nicaragua and host a leadership conference along with teaching more WAVE ministry. The portion of the trip in Nicaragua will be October 18-27.

The WAVE Team will:

begin leading worship by using drama, sign language and music to share the gospel
be able to use signed english to teach spoken english
travel and begin to establish relationships with people in The DUMP and other areas for the preparation of other doors in the future

BUT we also have a continuing trip to El Salvador after Nicaragua. The two from Vision 2 Hear will accompany Jorge back to El Salvador to work with our friend Mario DeValle and The Church to host leadership training and a conference there. This is very exciting as we see God working in and through Vision 2 Hear. We will be in El Salvador from October 27-November 4

How you can help:

* Pray about giving. Pray about going. Pray for George, Trevor and others October- November 4.

* Collect school supplies, clothing to give to children and people in the DUMP area.

* Collect Spanish Bibles to distribute.
